Every year, Fortnite hosts a festive Winterfest event that kicks off just before Christmas and runs until early January. This year, the event brings back the beloved Winterfest Cabin, which is filled with a variety of free gifts for players to unwrap. Starting now, players can open a new present every day until January 7, 2025.
These gifts !include! Outfits, Back Blings, Pickaxes, Gliders, and more, with special Christmas-themed items like the Santa Dogg Outfit, Yulejacket Outfit, Peppermint Paraglider, and various other seasonal goodies—all available for free. Players can easily access the Winterfest Cabin by clicking the snowflake tab in the lobby.
In addition to the presents, the Battle Royale map is now covered in snow, with new winter-themed weapons like the Blizzard Grenade scattered across the map for players to use in battle. Of course, Epic Games also has paid cosmetics available in the Item Shop, including Santa Shaq and Guffmas Tree skins.
One of the highlights of this year’s Winterfest is the arrival of Mariah Carey. Initially teased as an ice block on the map, the iconic singer is now free and ready to join players in the game. Players can dance with Mariah Carey in-game to earn a Holiday Present item. A new series of Wintervestigation XP quests is also available during the event.
For those who want to further embrace the holiday spirit, Mariah Carey-themed cosmetics are available for purchase in the Item Shop, including the Santa Suit Mariah and Gold Mariah Carey Outfits. The bundle also features Back Blings and an All I Want For Christmas Is You Emote, inspired by her famous Christmas song.
